This week might be the shortest roundup I’ve ever done. Thanks to Lost Scent and Home not updating before I get my round up posted, I had to exclude both of them. Between a bunch of comics being off for the week or on hiatus, I just have two entries for you.
That said, the rough draft of The Dragon Slayer review is done. It’s going to be a bit of work to proof and edit it, so I’m hoping I can get it up by this week’s end. Maybe I’ll aim for a Saturday post.

Faida seems to be the only hyena who understands that the elephant carcass is making members of the clan sick, as well as other animals. Furthermore, she doesn’t get why the clan is fighting over so much rotting meat. Unfortunately, Nuru is having none of it, and is literally looking down upon her matriarch from the top of the dead elephant. Even though Faida isn’t wrong about them getting sick and possibly being put down by humans “or the wielders of lightning,” the clan is unimpressed as they begin to surround her.
In short, I think that mutiny the wild dogs fretted about is here. Our favorite doom-calling hyena hasn’t noticed it coming for her yet. Let’s see if her clan mates attack next update. As for the sickness, I have yet to see any of the hyenas cough, and they’re able to shrug off rotten meat better than other animals. That said, I imagine if they’re affected by the sickness it’ll probably start with the youngest and oldest first.

I thought Kenazil was done with her rampage, but her multiple bodies are still on the attack. The second panel is metal as hell. The attack is so violent it caused the portion of the Black Idol visible on the moon’s surface to withdrawal, leaving a large crack. Unless the Black Idol has some kind of trick up its sleeve, the massive creature is done. Still, the price of Kenazil ripping it to shreds has to be high, and I wonder if her rampage will stop on the moon, or if she’ll set her teeth on Earth next.
Either way, the gods weren’t kidding about her power. Let’s see if Melissa (if she’s alive) and Julia have a backup plan for getting the black dog to stop.
