Ranach managed to bring Kargo to his knees so easily. This is one of the worst moments in Home.

I’m not going to lie. These last few pages of Home have been a confusing mess in terms of action and layout. The story is also a mess. I have beef with Kargo being killed off by Ranach. Kargo’s not putting up a fight befitting the unstoppable warrior he was portrayed as in earlier chapters. He’s going to die unceremoniously at the paws of a villain who previously got others to do his dirty work.

Kique is saying Ranach got the advantage because he stabbed Kargo first as he was climbing some stairs. The classic, “I have the high ground!” However, this is so out of character for a dog who’s been shown to take on several others at once, a large cat-like beast, and even out-muscled a bear. A few knife wounds is supposed to take him down without him even getting in a few hits on Ranach? Oh please. We all know Kique got tired of Kargo as a character, decided to drag him through the mud, showed him a bit of redemption, revealed he was given the supernatural strength of a bear, and then had him die just a few pages later. It would have made more sense if Kargo met his end at the hands of the werewolf-like beast, Avanti.

Thank God other webcomics have been more entertaining and satisfying.

Chakra: Battle of the Titans has been fantastic as the story slowly comes to a close. Things look bleak as C.Y. as been struck down by Juunibi who’s possessing Kuma’s body. However, it looks like there might be hope as C.Y. is given a second chance at life, but she must choose if she or her chakra, Ajna will return to fight the 12-tailed demon fox.

I’m loving A Flightless Bird, especially as Ta-mil’s true nature as the beast has been revealed and Bonja has to figure out how he’ll save his siblings from the kitsune witch.

Roar Howl Run has also been excellent as new characters have been introduced. Ora is definitely a favorite of mine.

I was disappointed by the ending of White Tail, but the journey was a pleasure.

Homeworld is finally ramping up and it feels like we’re going to get deeper into the world building. I love how Victor’s character has been fleshed out so well.

Order Of The Black Dog Issue 20 Pg 42 12312019

The Order of the Black Dog is on break again, but the ending to the last issue was amazing. I love the reveal of everyone being the Black Idol, and how Rhoda helped Julia save herself and Sedjet from being the idol. All of the world building and lore have just come together wonderfully and I’m seeing older issues in a new light. Rebecca knows how to foreshadow and have events pay off spectacularly. This is easily one of the best comics on the web.

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope your 2020 is better than 2019. May the new decade brings lots of happiness and fortune your way.
